108 Entrepreneurs for the first time .

24 event partners came in together to support the organizer and the team. This collaboration and partnership foster inclusive, vibrant and secure entrepreneurial community in Bhutan . An event to connect and promote entrepreneurship in Bhutan. The organizer aspires to take the Next event to rural districts in the country.

I AM AN ENTREPRUNER EVENT
108 Entrepreneurs under one roof.

A young entrepreneur Mr Ugyen Choeda Jamtso age 26 along with his team made his dream come true by managing to gather 108 entrepreneurs for an event ‘I am an entrepreneur’ for three days in Thimphu. Initially, the venue of the event was planned to be held in Tsirang, however, due to the lack of logistics the venue had to be moved to Thimphu. The entrepreneurs gathered from all the corners of the nation. 50 stalls were step up to display various local products and services. New products were also launched at the event.

I am an entrepreneur event helped entrepreneurs with practical insights and knowledge to help grow both aspiring and apparent entrepreneur’s business. The main motivation behind organizing such an event was to Inspire, Motive and Share hurdles and the journey to becoming an entrepreneur to the aspiring technocrats, intrapreneurs, Agri-pruners and rest.

Some of the keynote speakers and panellists shared their entrepreneurial journey, lessons, struggles, failures and successes. Furthermore, the organizers and the event planners were mostly millennial entrepreneurs. The event is also to celebrate young Bhutanese entrepreneurs who had the courage to dream big and start their entrepreneurial journey.

A guest speaker like minster of finance, Lyonpo Namgay Tshering, Governor of Royal Monetary Authority and concerned stakeholders also left the participant with tricks of the trade and tips on how to secure fundings for their business. The events like this also provide opportunities for entrepreneurs and other relevant stakeholders to connect and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Head of Enterprise Development from the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Tshewang Tashi presented revolutionizing agriculture- the role of Agri- entrepreneurship and farming innovation. The presentation left many participants thinking twice about incorporated agribusiness along with technology. Flagship projects were also discussed.
