Bhutanese artist wins one of Asia's top art contests
The International Artist Grand Prize Competition is held in Taipei, Taiwan.
A Bhutanese artist's painting emerged as the winner in a global art contest. Phuntsho Wangdi's artwork, centered around the theme "The Wheel of Power," claimed the first prize at the 2023 International Artist Grand Prize Competition. There are estimated 4,262 pieces of artworks submitted for the 2023 International Artist Grand Prize Competition created by artists from 76 different countries. This competition provides a worldwide stage for artists aged 18 and above to display their creative endeavors. The International Artist Grand Prize Competition (I.A.G.P.C.), one of Asia's top art contests, is run by Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association. The organizer is now combining I.A.G.P.C. together with Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.), the most important platform of art exchange in Taiwan, to promote individual artists to the international market. The combined power of both of these unrivaled art outlets will result in more opportunities of sponsorship, exhibition and sale.

In 2022, Bhutanese artist, Zimbiri was invited to decorate life-sized tiger sculpture in Singapore as part of WWF Singapore's AR-mazing tiger trail focusing on tiger conservation and other key environmental causes.
