Drukair will be launching twice-weekly flights to Dubai

Starting from 28th October 2024, Drukair will be launching twice-weekly flights to Dubai, a major city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), known for its futuristic architecture, luxurious shopping, and vibrant nightlife.

Drukair will be launching twice-weekly flights to Dubai

This new route will significantly enhance connectivity for tourists from the Middle East and Europe, making it easier and quicker for them to visit the picturesque kingdom of Bhutan.

For travellers from the Middle East, Dubai serves as a major transit hub, and this direct connection will provide them with a more convenient travel option to Bhutan, bypassing the need for multiple connecting flights. Additionally, European tourists, who often transit through Dubai, will benefit from the streamlined access, potentially boosting tourism to Bhutan by offering a smoother and more direct travel experience.

This development is also welcome news for the Bhutanese diaspora working in the Middle East. The new direct flights will offer them a more efficient and comfortable way to travel back home, reducing the time and complexities associated with their journeys. The twice-weekly flights are expected to strengthen ties between Bhutan and the Middle East, fostering greater cultural exchange, economic opportunities, and mutual tourism growth.
