Global GNH Forum 2025: Bhutan’s Living Gift to the World

Bhutan hosts the Global GNH Forum 2025, bringing together visionary leaders to celebrate five decades of Gross National Happiness and redefine global wellbeing through wisdom and compassion.

Global GNH Forum 2025: Bhutan’s Living Gift to the World

Bhutan is currently playing host to the inaugural Global GNH Forum 2025, a landmark gathering that redefines leadership and human flourishing for the 21st century. Organised by the GNH Centre Bhutan under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Kesang Chodren Wangchuck, the Forum marks the beginning of a transformative global tradition — one that celebrates wisdom, compassion, and the pursuit of collective wellbeing.

Honouring Visionary Leadership

The Forum pays tribute to the visionary leadership of His Majesty the Fourth King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, whose philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH) continues to inspire the world. As Bhutan celebrates five decades of GNH and His Majesty’s 70th Birth Anniversary, leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across the globe are converging in Bhutan to explore how happiness, ethics, and balance can redefine global progress.

Wisdom Meets Leadership in Paro

Set against the majestic backdrop of Dungkar Dzong in Paro, participants are immersing themselves in a blend of dialogue, reflection, and cultural experience. From 8–10 November, the Forum features high-level discussions, spiritual sessions, and artistic performances celebrating Bhutan’s holistic vision of happiness. The event culminates on 11 November with a closing ceremony that honours Bhutan’s timeless values of compassion and harmony.

Highlights of the Forum

• Launch of the First Global GNH Forum – where ancient wisdom meets modern leadership.
• Immersive GNH Experience – exploring wellbeing, cultural integrity, and environmental balance.
• Transformative Conversations – engaging with global thinkers and changemakers.
• Traditional Ceremonies and Cultural Immersion – celebrating Bhutan’s spiritual and artistic heritage.

Precious Garland of Incarnations Book Launch

On 9 November 2025, the Global GNH Forum website and the Precious Garland of Incarnations, a sacred literary work composed by Trulku Kunga Tenzin was officially launched. The book Precious Garland of Incarnations, composed by H.E. Trulku Kunga Tenzin, presents the sacred biography (namthar) of Palden Drukpa Rinpoche Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Offered in humble tribute to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, on the auspicious occasion of His 70th Birth Anniversary, this work stands as a heartfelt expression of Trulku Kunga Tenzin’s profound gratitude for His Majesty’s extraordinary vision, benevolence, and boundless service to the Nation and its people.

Bhutan’s Vision for the Future

The Global GNH Forum 2025 is a call to reimagine how the world measures success. Through heartfelt dialogue and shared purpose, Bhutan reminds us that true progress lies not in accumulation, but in the wellbeing of people and planet.
